Green Drinks Calgary is brought to you every month by the tireless efforts of our core group of volunteers. We have organized this monthly meeting series in such a way that the expenses are eliminated or minimized as much as possible. However, there are still expenses just to maintain the event series and even more if we try to grow.

So far, we have been able to eliminate or reduce costs involved with web site hosting, by:

• donated meetup.com group site ($250/year value), thanks to Grant Neufeld
• donated site hosting, thanks to thegreenpages.ca ($250/year value)
• donated domain name renewal, thanks to Community Carshare

The ways that we minimize costs are:

• choosing a venue that did not charge a fee for its use (which we would have to pass on to participants)
• choosing a venue where there is more than one section to use and less busy day so more likely to accept us
• encourage online promotions over print promotions as much as possible

Just to maintain the service, we require:

• name tags or lanyards and door prize tickets
• paper and printing for sign up sheets and posters

We do not ask for suggested donation fees or even admission fees (as per international Green Drinks policies) but we do encourage and appreciate your donations. A tip jar will always be available at each and every Green Drinks event to collect your donation. Before you leave, please consider making a donation from your spare change.
